Bus stops do not have any timetables
When I was in Sete Citades, Acores, I found out the bus stops do have any meaningful information about the departures or arrivals, simply any timetable at all. I wasn’t even sure I wait on correct place when I waited for bus.

Yeah, but bus stops do have timetables. That’s probably an experience you had which doesn’t apply to the entire country.

Was about to comment this as well. About two years ago, I was waiting for my Rede Expressos bus in Lisbon and was searching for an app with up-to-date information. Nothing. Others who were on the same platform were also drawing a blank and were frustrated. When nobody expected it, the door of what I thought was an electricity box opened up, a guy came out and started screaming in Portuguese that “THE BUS IS DELAYED, ANOTHER MIGHT COME, MOVE TO PLATFORM 2.” It was such a bizarre experience.
