We go on a Port wine tasting tour
It's about €200
Woman drives us back to hotel from the wine yard
Girlfriend and me go sit in back
She says “I'm not a driver”
She wouldn't move the seat forward either
So this time I sat in front whatever
So fucking weiiiiiirddd man
Portuguese' biggest nightmare is "be a driver"

This is actually a sign of disrespect.
If you “know” the person who is driving you, you sit at the front. Especially when you have mutual business to do.
You only sit in the back, if the only reason of interacting is them driving you somewhere. But once you have something other scheduled, you have to sit in the front. Otherwise you’re considered impolite and rude. This is true for other countries like germany aswell.
