Real estate guy who makes EUR 75,000 commission on house purchase forces me to sit in front because "I'm not an Uber driver"
The real estate guy picked us up to drive us to a €1.5M home to look which if we bought he'd get €75,000 commission
Me and girlfriend enter back of his car
He says “I'm not an Uber”
I say “Desculpa”?
He says “I'm not a driver, you need to sit in the front next to me”
I say “Desculpa, I’ll sit with my girlfriend, thank you very much”
For €75,000 you'll be my Uber alright

Why is this even on this board? How is this big country-level issue to be even posted on here?
If you go to a country, you should respect their culture and habits, don’t get offended by it, and certainly don’t be rude.

What you have done, is actually a sign of disrespect.
If you “know” the person who is driving you, you sit at the front. Especially when you have mutual business to do.
You only sit in the back, if the only reason of interacting is them driving you somewhere. But once you have something other scheduled, you have to sit in the front. Otherwise you’re considered impolite and rude. This is true for other countries like germany aswell.

Sounds like it was a joke. You need to relax and check your ego
